switching between custom songs
So i put all my music in the folder, scanned em all, and while i can listen to them while driving my car or in my apartment, the button for switching between songs do not work AT ALL, it would be nice if anyone knew how to fix this, i have a swedish keyboard btw with Å, Ä and Ö Buttons, so that might mess with things, i dont know.

In the Keybindings, there is commands for switching songs, but only on SELF Radio, however they dont work for me.

They keybindings are:
Next Custom Radio Track
Previous Custom Radio Track

Have you tried binding them to a different key and then binding them to the key you want?

Because you need to go to Options > Audio > switch station to Self Radio, then change the mode off of Radio to either Sequental or Random. After this that setting should save and the - and = (the defaults for changing songs while on Self Radio) should now work. They will not work while on "Radio" mode because while on this it will play like the other R* stations, inputting the games commercials in-between songs as the game sees fit.

Still does not work, does not change songs in the audio menu, i even tried rebinding the keys, they just dont work, wich is weird, as this worked flawlessly in GTA: SA and 4 for me.

Works for me. I set it to * and / on the secondary keybindings, German keyboard. Works fine!

This resolved it for me. Thank you much for this tip.

I realize someone else said this did not work for them, however for people still having this issue I would try this as it resolved the issue for today :)

Change your bindings, and in the audio settings on "Your radio" change mode to sequential... If that don't works, you are going to listen your song as a normal radio

Perfect, works for custom keybindings too. Thanks!

Good tip Motha. Beat me to it :P Ive since, setup a spotify hotkey that plays and another that goes to "next track". Its actually close to the F key so if ya wanted to add some realism i guess you could hit that key in conjunction with F so it would make the radio stop when you got out of the car :P At least thats what I do now. I love the custom radio, I just got burned out on the same tracks even I threw in there. Just set one of your buttons to the "multimedia play/pause" buttons and it should work, even if the app is in the background, its a global hotkey.

anyway, glad you got it figured out, cheers.

For me, next song works but previous song doesn't work. Tried changing the keybindings but no luck.

This thread was quite old before the recent posts, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
