Best soft shadow setting?
I use Nvidia PCSS, but i notice that it just blurs the shadows a bit compared to every other setting. Would it be best if i just keep shadow quality at very high and turn soft shadows to sharp? I already play with very high shadows in fact, i play at very high settings.

For those wondering of my specs, you can find them on my profile page.

It blurs the shadows depending on how long it is, its in my opinion very realistic but if you don't like it yeah try the sharp setting and very high shadow quality, it'll still look good for sure

Nvidia PCSS is best as the shadows will look like shadows in real life, I perfer sharp shadows.

Doesn't matter how old it is. When people google which is the "best" shadow setting, they will still see a link to this thread. It will still be relevant, and help them in 2017 and years to come. I hope you're trolling(level 0 freshly created Steam account.. ya.) Can't believe I even took a minute out of my day to respond to such petty sh!t :steamfacepalm:

This helped me a lot. Seems like none of them are really the best, just different. However "Softest" uses the least GPU power compared to the NVIDEA and AMD options.

I'm gonna reply 3 years later to add that NOTHING pisses me off more than when I google something, enter a thread where someone is asking the exact same question that I am, and the first reply is "use the search function."

I'm like, "That's what I Fing did you SOB. Let someone answer them so when I use the search function I can learn the answer. This thread popped up before the thread where this was actually answered."

Except your reply right now in no way contributed to the topic. Thank you for notifying people of an old topic that has been "resolved" ages ago.
It would be fine if you actually contributed to the topic in any way.

I heard soft shadows are best for frame rate so I use softer or softest
