For those that think gta 5 is boring
This was a respons to someone who i felt had misunderstood the game completly and faild to see the gta 5 that i see and this is what i said: You are looking at it the wrong way i think. Sure, at first glance, the game dont seam to have much things to do beside the missions but what iv discovered is that GTA 5 is a bit more subtle than im used to. I started to just drive around and look at this, quite stunning world that is gta 5 and small but very rewarding things started to happen. Random events put you together with all sorts of "people" A drunk who wants to go home ( i drove him to a camp full of psychos up in the mountains instead lol) A woman running from her wedding. A qouple of robbers in need of a getaway car. Bounty hunter missions given from a wonderfully strange portraited woman. This things happen all over the map.

Playing the three different characters in the game also makes me play (or roleplay i should say) differently. Trevor is my favorite. He is just a laughing out loud psychotic a-hole and i find myself instinctivly doing things i normally would have to think about before i did it.
SPOILER; Case in point, playing Trevor on a mission, i park the car in a parking space. I get out and a young snot with a nametag come running up to me and say "you cant park here sir, this is for crewmembers only" Without hessitation i gave him an uppercut that sendt him flying and went about my business. After the mission, when i looked at the mission stats, i found to my utter delight and laughter, one of the stats that was ticked off was "yes i can park here"

Its moments like this that i think make GTA 5 stand out. Its not full of, in your face, go here, do this or that places but its more (iv used subtle havent i?) under the surface so to speak. I recomend just walk around, drive around, at least for the joy of just looking at what has to be the most beautifully constructed world in gaming history (for the PC at least) and i garantie that you will find small story gems all over the place.

People have opinions and not everyone will like what you like or think like you think.

It's an outstanding game and i've been playing games since the 80'S.
This is my best game to date but I had to buy a £1,500 PC play it on but it was money well spent. The only thing that needs fixing is that your custome car goes missing,Other
then that 9/10.....

Maybe I have played too much of GTA IV. It was smaller, but more focused. The story progression was interesting. I liked it more.

Here... I don't even know. It often feels like there is just a bunch of random missions, some of them are interesting, some of them not so much. I have not finished it yet so maybe things get more interesting nearing the end. I just thought I would like it more. The attention to the little details is insane, the world is beautiful, but it really feels like the story is going nowhere.

Did you have to make a thread for this? Missions are boring, we don't care about the freemode stuff.

I can't see how GTA V would be any more boring than the previous game. I mean, ♥♥♥♥ GTA IV basically had nothing to do outside of story missions, and the game even had some side activities like taxi driving limited, so once you did them, they were gone for good. The expansions made some decent attempts dealing with the overwhelming emptiness of Liberty City, but it was never enough. GTA SA might be on a technically inferior game engine by today's standards, but it certainly had more things than GTA IV.

At the end of the day, GTA IV only ever stood on its new physics and flashy visuals, which aren't THAT great, and are actually starting to look pretty ugly.

And to this day, I'll always be amused that despite being based on New York City; a city which is often hailed as having piles of interesting happenings and sights, Rockstar's video game representation of such a location does a pretty good job at portraying exactly the opposite.

If you're borded you can play online.

Otherwise stay offline and use some funny mods. ^^

DO NOT activate GTA Online, as long as you have mods installed.
You will get banned for it by Rockstar Club, unfortunately.

makes my gta 5 single player, one Epic Sim.
epic to the point that you start to notice just how much content the devs chose to leave out,, or indeed Took out of the single player experience..

one word for online,, 'boring'.

one word for online-Private-Lobby-modded-los-santos-law-abiding-citizens-no-crimes-stick-to-the-limit-30mph-occulus-rifters,, 'banned'.

so yes,, gta 5 can be epic,, or tragic on an epic scale..
you just have to know what you want out of the game and go for it.

yeah, exploring is nice in gta 5 but i gotta say it feels like they started working on this game with alot of passion and details, but at the very end of it they just gave up and didnt care at all.

Such as: Insane loading screens, you cant walk into most of the houses and you cant even see through most of the windows - they look like pics taken from a game in 199X and alot of bugs...

Not to mention all the cheaters - it just feels like a well started game that has been totally destroyed for some reason. if they were in a rush or just lazy i dont know. but it could've been way better with small changes imo

Probably limitations from the consoles. Remember, the game was created for xbox360 and ps3 and even though they slapped a new coat of paint over it in the so called "enhanced version" it's still the same old engine with the same old limitations and the same old problems.

I was always disappointed that you can't even enter the business you buy in single player. When i bought that strip club out in the desert with Trevor i was hoping for something funny, cliche to explore, a redneck version of the strip club in the city but nope. Same with the Smoke on the Water store and others
The biggest mind-boggling thing is the Tequi-la-la. It has a full interior from day one because there was a mission taking place but you never can't enter it on your own. Even now you can't, it's weird and disappointing.
The world feels a bit fake and lifeless in single player. Maybe that was the intention of Rockstar considering they make so much fun of the Hollywood lifestyle, everybody being fake and all that...i don't know. If that was their plan it backfired because as a player you want a world to explore not something that looks as fake as a movie set in a studio.

I find the game boring. I do what you do, I absorb the world, and it's just... underwhelming.
I don't know why, from everything I've experienced it should be a very fun game to play, but it's not. It's just barely entertaining enough to see it through to the end.

I think the problem is that what he calls "all kinds of wonderful things start to happen" is what most of us call: really really boring...
