Online Character Name ~ Can you rename?

Does anyone know if you can rename your online character after the initial character creation?

Whilst in the game press the HOME button.

That opens up The Rockstar Social Club - Change your username within the settings menu.

It worked for me - although it took a few hours for name change to be reflected within the game.

It takes time for the servers to update i guess.

What does it matters? They don't even show up, it's your Social Club name that shows.

Keep in mind the name can be changed just once in a year .

No, you social club account can have any name. That is independent from your nickname in game.

No, you still will have same friends as be for changing the name.
