How about no, just stream your own music and turn off in game music?
Stop asking for the most irrelevant things to make the actual game more broke
People are having enough issues let alone people ask for really irrelevant options
I didn't say anything about listening to my own music, I hate having to choose what to listen to, I get tired of the songs before I find new ones. And streaming it in the background, ala Spotify or Youtube would absolutely delete the feeling you get from having the radio on in a car.
Right, so now you want RS to pay for streaming licensing fees, which puts up the cost to your own gaming purchase?
Explain that to me. Does Winamp, VLC or a game like Beathazzard have to pay fees for streaming support?
I don't know about streaming via Spotify or Youtube, maybe that could bring some licensing issues, but regular internet radio stations?
Would be great to have that - it should be no big deal to add .pls .m3u .asx or .ram support or maje just a .txt config to put link inside.
You dont air it in public, the stations do, and you are the only one "ingame" that can hear it (same as with your mp3s), GTA custom radio would only be your local player.
For instance: if you open that link http://www.punkrockers-radio.de/playlists/punkrockers.pls in your VLC or Winamp they would not pay any fees and you neither.
As i wrote, some games like: Beat Hazzard already supporting .pls files.
Erm, no
Trust me, i know guys who are running such a station, and yes they are paying fees.
So IF Rockstar allow an addin to allow music to be streamed via the net, without paying the artist any royalties, this is against the law, because you don't have the artist's approval to do so
This is what a royaltie allows 3rd parties to do so
You're talking about RS being that 3rd party but not paying any royalties
How much do you think they paid for the licensing for their in house music?
You must understand that the music you are streaming in "self radio" is not forwarded via the net even if you play online, therefore it is not public. It is the same thing as you open a link in your musicplayer.
I don't think you can understand the simplest of things
Sorry for my bad english, im a lazy german...
