GTA V Unable to initialize DirectX 9

when i start GTAV from Steam

it will display "Unable to initialize DirectX 9 device"

Anyone has solution ?

I already figure it out for a while

can anyone give me a hand ˊˋ

we have to get in registry editor and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>DIRECT3D>DRIVERS and change SoftwareOnly to 0. Direct3D Accelleration was enabled and BAM in game

Click windows + R >> type "regedit" >> find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>DIRECT3D>DRIVERS >> change SoftwareOnly to 0

I've just upgraded to Windows 10, copied the GTA5 folder from SteamApps from other PC to this one, installed and verified data and I get this error. I've tried looking for the Regedit folder specified but I cant find the "Direct3D" folder, please help :)

BTW Direct3D is from AMD than Nvidia Grphics card

Im just now receiving this problem and none of these methods are working for me. I've tried HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>DIRECT3D>DRIVERS and change SoftwareOnly to 0. Direct3D Accelleration was enabled and BAM in game
and DIRECT3D isn't there, and tried restarting pc and still isn't there. I've tried a system restore from before my recent driver update from today. Didn't work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled directx still didn't work. please help

Well my friend just restart the computer that's what i did and it worked to run the game again

Just restart the pc and it will work (you will be able to run the game again)
