HELP! i cant switch character...

when i press Alt, it only shows start recording, no character wheel or anything, and reloading a previous save is not an option since the last time i save is pretty damn far... so anyone know how to fix this bug, i need help :'(

it actually happened after i try out gta online for the first time, i create a character, do the race and went beack to singleplayer, and now im stuck with franklin. before that everything was fine.

I have had trouble changing characters using L- Alt. But, the F keys work great!

Switch to;
Michael - F5
Franklin - F6
Trevor - F7

thank god i've managed to find a fix guys (probably), these are the things that i do:

1.Find a taxi
2.Do the taxi activity 4-6 times
3.just drive around, wait for lester to call you.
4.Once he called you, you should be able to switch character again.

at least thats what i do, so if anyone have other fixes, make sure to post them to help out some people.

i did the taxi jobs 6 times but lester won't call my do you know why?

i have the opposite problem where alt works perfectly fine for me but when i press F5 F6 or F7 it dose not switch characters and it dose nothing. anyone know how to fix this? i honestly have no idea how this happened. i did not change anything.

I had this issue too, but it worked for me after I left the area where the mission is located.
