The exploit is only possible in story mode as these packages don't exist online.
I have updated the original post with a tips-section, explaining why these packages don't show up for some players.
I really hope they will do the same for the PC Version.
This is only for the Single Player Storyline-mode, but it still annoys me as the rest of the game is pretty close to perfect. I do agree however, that people who use this exploit only cheat themselves out of a great gaming experience.
I made the topic video on my PC version of the game, and I also tested this exploit after the last patch and it still works just as displayed in the video. I bought GTA V on Steam during the pre-sales.
I would go to one of the package locations, save at sea-level, reload and then swim down to pick it up. If it's still not there than I have no clue as to what is going on.
Yes, I already have over 12 billion dollars per character due to the in-game stockmarket. Maximum cash 2,1 billion, and the rest in stocks in case I ever need more. Already own everything.
The video, however, is of an exploit. So wether it is "chump change" or not is irrelevant.
Diving down 4 times makes 100k dollars, and investing those money on the stockmarket at a 100% return rate makes it 200k. And so on.
In either case, I really hate that it is possible to use exploits like these.. including the stockmarket save/reload exploit. I got a stock up to 607,29% trying that exploit out, and I could have gone higher, so it is ridiculously flawed.
And it is valid to say this isn't worth doing....just playing the game normally and using/abusing the stock market makes a repeatable 25K exploit entierly useless by compare.
You obviously do not get the point of this post, as I clearly explain in the topic that this is an exploit (which it is), and that I think it should be fixed. I never claimed that this was "worth doing", I merely pointed out that this is an exploit. Your personal opinion will never change the fact that it is an exploit within the game that could easily have been fixed.
Also, your opinion about my gameplay is irrelevant, as I am the only one that can possibly know how I play. All I can say is that if you can't make 12 billion per character on your own, then you obviously do not have the stockmarket knowledge I possess, and you obviously haven't played the way I play my sandbox games.
Like in Skyrim and other huge open world games, I always avoid the main mission saving it for last, as I want to fully explore the games I pay for. This includes all the small, seemingly pointless side-missions and odd jobs. I am not going to include any spoilers here, but there are many missions in GTA V that have huge payouts, that are not part of the main storyline. If you don't know this, then you haven't played the game properly in my opinion. Also, many of the missions/random banter will give you stockmarket hints within the game dialog itself, if you care to pay attention to it. Listening to the radio alone gave me a huge profit, the in-game news (radio and online newspaper) are not only there for our amusement.
Then again, my opinion on your gameplay is irrelevant, as you have the right to play your games any way you choose.
So to sum it up; your statement is invalid, as you have had no counterpart claiming otherwise. You are merely talking to yourself it seems, as I nowhere in the topic claim that the exploit is worth doing.
Next time, read the topic properly. :)
You resort to name-calling? I must have struck a nerve. Either way, you failed to return a constructive comment, so I guess you have admitted defeat. Good luck on your further endeavours.
You are not worth the time.
