Lock Radio to Station

I want the radio to stay on the same station regardless of whether I change cars. Is this possible? I know it was in one of the older GTA's, Vice City I think.

I know a option along the lines of "Favorite Radio station" exists but i'm not certain what it does

I think it sets the default radio for player owned houses and cars. Unfortunately not every car you jack or store you walk in to... I know its not immersive but Id love to have the option to do that.

While at first this sounds like a good idea, you will soon get bored of the same 20 songs on a station. Later you will actually switch away, to not hear them again.

I now don't switch away anymore, but just listen to whatever station is tuned in, when I enter a new car.
Gives me much more variability, and I've actually heard good songs on stations that I didn't expect them.

Furthermore, I created a playlist of deleted songs that were originally going to be on the soundtrack, plus some more non-radio songs from the game, and put them in the Self Radio.

Now I have another almost official radio station, complete with DJs, commercials and news.

It doesn't matter whether its a good idea or not, we're just asking if its possible because we want to do it. Plus, I only use self radio. :)
