Is GTA V better optimized for AMD or NVIDIA cards??

as my gtx 580 seems that died before 3 weeks and the main reason to buy new card is the GTA V i want to know what is better to buy , amd or nvidia ... i speak for cards that costs arouind 200 euros like gtx 960 , r9 280 , r9 85 , r9 280x etc.. what is the performance ou get (settings , frames etc) in your PC..?

I think you need to expand your inquiry. You shouldn't buy a new graphics card for just a single game, because no matter how good the game. Eventually you are going to buy a new game. As far as optimization is concerned Nvidia seems to place greater emphasis on optimization as they optimize for more games and specific games. It just isn't good that AMD lags behind as far as releasing new drivers is concerned especially now as games are seeing a decided upswing in system usage as the newer consoles have raised the bar.

That all being said it would be negligent on my part not to mention this as far as optimization is concerned. Is your processor is a dual core. If so you need to reconsider your priorities and your budget. As newer games are actually going to require at least four cores. Not recommended, but actually demand it just to actually run on your system.

I guess what I am saying is you might need to upgrade both your cpu and gpu, and if that is the case. Then your question should be what low end card provides the best price for perfomance. As you will need to hold over more money to put into replacing your cpu, and in the worst case you might need to replace your motherboard along with it.

It would be most helpful if you shared your system specs.

Probably nvidia. But my 280x is running it 60fps with 0 stutter perfectly fine on very high.

I have 280x but after 3 min i get so much stutter

Both cards have their pro's and con's...both cards do well in certain games...both cards do horrible in certain games...no sense on being a fanboy. This game may favor nvidia technology slightly...but thats it...slightly! my 295x2 is rocking with out a single hicup. if I HAD to complain about something it would be aboute the 1sec hitch upon game initialization, but thats all i got.

I used Radeon long enough even when it called ATI and i'm began using nvidia only 1 year ago, even less... And after using Nvidia over 3 month i made a conclusion that i don't wanna hear words AMD/Radeon ever.

AMD here running at max setting and using the Rift at times as well, never an issue, not one.

For GTAV both brands are basically having the same performance, slight differences depending on the general hardware configuration. Also, some users from both sides are having trouble with memory leak and/or other issues while many others don't. Buy what your money and intentions say.

When I bought it was about 200 more going with the G1 980s and after have Crossfired 6850s and cf 7970s I will never go back to amd. Support was beyond terrible

It's great that you're happy with what you got. I lived on both sides and I will stick with intel/Nvidia because my time with them so far has been outstanding!

Radeon 6970 2GB => running fine on High @ 2560x1440 (27")
2x Radeon R9 290X CF => running fine on max @ 3840x2160 (28")
both no AA, i think it's dispensable on those resolutions.

Both. It features both the NVidia gameworks and the AMD counterpart to gameworks.
