Even though there's textures missing why does the graphics present look like they are from 2001?

You really can tell that underneath all this newness, GTA V is running on the same engine as GTA IV, just greatly improved.

The selecting cores and putting them back thing was something that also stopped microstutter and other things in GTA IV too. It's something that I do halfway through this video. Actually, I left it on 3 cores, but I could have put it back to all cores and it would have done the same thing. All that was important was that you minced around the affinity settings:
