Yah thats what I though too so I cranked it all the way up and I didn't see a difference under DX 11
Texture filtering - Anisotropic ...(Don't know how it's called in english sorry, but should be the first texture filtering option).
Turn that off. Also it should fix it if you have set the Texture Filtering Quality preset to Quality not performance. Make sure that Anisotropic filtering is enabled or set to application controled too.
Hope that isn't confusing. My system language isn't in english.

So your solution is to adjust the anisotropic in GPU settings? Once you set to x16 in GPU settings, did you turn off the anisotropic in game or you left it x16?
I haven't got a chance to try it since I'm away from home till tomorrow.
