[Solved] Draw Distance / Level of Detail Setting?
Solution: I had to make a profile for GTA in my Catalyst Control Center and set the Anisotropic Filter to x16

Original Question:
What is the draw distance / Level of Detail setting. I am trying to get rid of the blurry lines on the roads but cant seem to find the setting. See image for what I am talking about. Take a look at the Center yellow line and how the texture breaks down as it goes into the distance.

If I know it right the blurry lines should disapear with a higher anisotropic level...dont know for sure :)

Yah thats what I though too so I cranked it all the way up and I didn't see a difference under DX 11

Shameful Self Bump. Still cant find an answer on this.

anisotropic filtering.

try forcing AF through your Video Cards control panel and disabling in-game. I did this and roads look 100% better than they did with the games built in AF.

Like the others said, the blurry distant textures should get sharp when you turn anisotropic filtering on. If that still doesn't help go to the nvidia control panel (if you have a nvidia card, don't know how to do it with AMD cards). Then 3D settings and scroll down until you see:

Texture filtering - Anisotropic ...(Don't know how it's called in english sorry, but should be the first texture filtering option).

Turn that off. Also it should fix it if you have set the Texture Filtering Quality preset to Quality not performance. Make sure that Anisotropic filtering is enabled or set to application controled too.

Hope that isn't confusing. My system language isn't in english.

dont listen to them its not anisotropic filter, in fact there are two setting for this, i currently uninstalled the game but they are in the advanced graphic, do you have nvidia card ? if you do and have ge force experience the tab for the game explains exactly what setting you need in the third or fourth screen shot

I have a AMD card but I know there are anisotropic filter settings in the CCC. Will try forcing it on in the CCC and get back to you.

Incorrect.

Turning on the anisotropic filter in the Catalyst Control Center worked for the GTAV.exe I had to bump it up the x16. Occasionally it does mess with surfaces in game. Roads disappearing and what not. I will test it further, later today.

I thought I'm the only one having this issue. I bumped the anisotropic to x16 in game but can't tell the difference. In first person driving, the road in front of the car is blurry.

In game or in your GPU software?

In game.

So your solution is to adjust the anisotropic in GPU settings? Once you set to x16 in GPU settings, did you turn off the anisotropic in game or you left it x16?

I haven't got a chance to try it since I'm away from home till tomorrow.

I ended up turning it off in game when it is on in the GPU software but I dont know if it really makes a difference.
