GTAV - best game ever?
I know it's a matter of preference but If you can name a game that's better in your opinion tell us why and give us good reasons why GTAV is not better than it.

There are too many different genres of games to say one is the best......
I agree but maybe if you could compare it with other open world games?

Even GTA4 is way better. Reason: Everything but graphics. Then there are alot of other games way better: Postal2/Final fantasy ( all of em )/SOF2/RCT2/L4D/DA:I and loads more. I'd say GTA5 isnt even in my top100
GTA IV was shallow and tedious, V is countless times better, imo.

I agree.

That said, it is probably the best GTAV so far (GTAIV on PC was so dissapoiting) ... best game ever? I wouldnt call it that ... at least for now (I still have a long way to go to finish it).

Lets compare this to Just Cause for example. GTAV story is amazing on the other hand Just Cause 2 story was short and bland (at least it was better than original Just Cause). That said, JC2 gameplay was so damn crazy and fun that it does have the edge over GTAV as sandbox game.

Is GTAV a game everyone should play? Absolutely ... I just wish we wouldnt have to wait this long to play it.

Personally I can't really say that this is the best game ever for me. I've played a lot of amazing games like Skyrim or Metal Gear Solid or Half Life series and they're all amazing but this game feels like it has no problems in gameplay, I feel entertained like 99% of the time.

Now there's a good Comparison thread. Skyrim VS GTAV. Someone get on it! Personal Pick is Skyrim. The base game is great but it literally never ends because of modding.

Before people get into specifics, these games are a lot more a like than you might realize. Especially when it comes to player freedom.

GTA 4 was aimless... GTA 5 is also aimless. GTA SA was the best because of the depth of the characters. It didn't feel like I was just a gun for hire. CJ has a greater purpose in life... Even VC was better than this...

2 old dudes and a young black guy running around wackin fools and robbing banks, soooo interesting.

Oh, and some weird fat nerd.
Very well said, nice seeing a fellow SA fan :)

I think Red Dead Redemption was one of the best games ever.

GTA5 is great, but it doesn't have what GTA SA had. I guess it lost that since they started to make money the main focus of the game. GTA SA had purpose other than money and all the characters were memorable.

I liked the Vice City's storyline the most but V beats all previous GTA's in every other aspect in my opinion and it compensates it for being the best.

Yea there's also a ton of "Why San Adreas is still the best GTA" stories on the web too. A lot of them allude to the same point you did.

GTAV has the better story and mission system. Best setting too.

But IV had the better (and more comical) driving tbh. You could pull of stunts you can't even do in V, because the cars all have to much grip.

Depends on my mood. I don't really have one single game I would consider the best. Loving GTA V at the moment though.

I'm confident GTA 5 will officially be the best rated GTA on PC when all reviews and scores are in.

Yes I have games where my favorite is the least of the majority too.
Mav 19 ABR 2015 a las 12:43 p. m.
I dont know how it can be the best story honestly. They're in it for the money, to get rich. In past GTAs it was about surviving. In SA it was about saving your family and exposing corrupt cops. GTA SA had what GTA5 had in terms of setting, and more. What was it? Los Santos, Las Venturas, and something else? Not to mention the giant desert.

But GTA5 does have the best graphics, details, effects, and gameplay mechanics. It's a very smooth game.

*Sigh* It is a very true statement, most of the games i truly sherish are indeed from my childhood. While i only have like 1-4 i truly love today, those being Dragon Age:Origins and The Witcher series.
