[Bug] Stuck in Merryweather Heist
I'm stuck in the Singleplayer mission Merryweather Heist.

Right after I blow up the ship, the cut scene of the burning ship won't progress to whatever comes after that.

Instead, I'm stuck on this cinematic camera:

What I tried:

- Skipping the cutscene (Doesn't work. Than the game just gets stuck at the loadign screen instead. Endless loading.)

- Killing myself 3 times to skip that section. (Doesn't work. It was very hard to kill myself as feanklin, because you can't jump at that section of the mission. So I went back on the bridge, shot at cars and ran infront of them to get killed 3 times. Then I had the option to skip to the next checkpoint, but that only made the cutscene of the exploding ship appear, which resultet in an endless loop again.

I've also read that you could try to run the game in safe mode.
But I don't know how.
As far as I know, that is an option which can be selected in the Rockstar Games Social Club launcher, but when I start the game, the RGSC launcher is only showing up briefly, while it'll log me in automaticly.

Does anyone know a working solution or how to get in safe mode?

By now, I have done every single mission but this one.
there is nothing else left to do for me but solving this mission.

I'm having the exact same problem, I hope someone knows something about this.

I got past it in the 7th or 8th try.

This time, I started the mission during another time of day. When the ship blew up, I didn't try to skip it, but watched the cutscene.

(I'm not saying that those actions were the reason why it worked this time, but this is what I did before the cutscene. Could have nothing to do with it.)

The way of repairing this bug is the following:
- pause the game
- CTRL + ALD + DEL, or ALT+TAB, or any combination to go to Desktop/minimize game
- start Task Manager
- go to processes, gtav.exe
- right click, Priority -> Set on High
- go in the game, unpause.

If it will not be fixed immediatly, just wait 1 to 3 more minutes at the burning ship wrechage. It will work.

Note: your PC might lag and have (very) slow responsivness to commands while doing this. Even on my i5 4690k @4Ghz, 8GB RAM, GTX760, it was sitting at around 90-100% CPU usage and over 90% RAM Usage.

Worked for me too! You are my savior!

If you still are having difficulty, lowering the textures worked for me. You just have to replay a mission to retrigger the cutscene.

I am running into this same bug now... I have tried all the above and nothing works. I have run through this same mission 4 times now and same bug every single time. System/game is not lagging as PC is less than 2 years old, Core i5 4x3.3GHz, 12GB DDR3, GTX1050.
