WoW, that's just plain wrong... >< Such a great piece of gear and It cannot work with this game, damn...
I am just trying to find out if a regular joystick works. I have quite some trouble teaching myself to fly a helicopter inside the game no matter how careful I do it and since a lot of missions need to have skill pilots I might as-well train myself and use/buy all the available tools to make my life easier inside the said missions.
IN the past (GTA IV), players used the 360CE emulator software to map other control pads/joysticks to get around the restrictions of the 360 PC controller only policy. It wreaks of a backend deal with Microsoft to force players to use their produtct...
No, i don't even have a joystick, I am thinking to buy one, but I didn't manage to find efficient feedback around Internet (Google engine...) regardless joysticks and GTA V PC.
I am giving them the benefit of the doubt, as the whole PC community (including myself, of-course) was whining hard to release the game ASAP.
I want to hope we will see something happening about it in the future...
I understand what you're asking fine, but again, this is NOT a hardcore flight sim. It's an action/arcade game.
Oh please, you have no idea what you're talking about. Frankly the key configuration is both massively powerful/flexible, and also stupidily overcomplicated as a result. A far more simplified control scheme would have been better. I mean, do we REALLY need alieron/roll controls for flying in this game? A more basic 3 channel scheme (turn/roll, pitch, throttle) would have been far more suitable.
Yeah um, no. That's just flat out wrong.[support.rockstargames.com]
There is no "360 controller only" policy. Certainly 360 (and 360 alike) controllers will work best (simply due to the fact that the 360 and xbone versions were designed around them!), but just about ANY directinput/xinput controller or wrapper will work. They even suggest xpadder themselves!
Does that include GTA V tho or just GTA IV ?
And yes, this isn't a flight sim, but using a flight stick in arcade style flight games is still fun. Same for wheels. The ability to assign an axis would be really sweet, but I can see why they wouldn't bother.
My goal had been to use my hotas throttle to accelerate for cars/planes/etc, and use the rocker for steering while continuing to use my mouse.
Shave your neckbeard, or turn in your fanboi card either option should pull your head out of your ass. You are wrong on just about everything you say.
If you want a basic mode to control your game, go back to console gaming. The support for joysticks through emulation/remapping software is not working. The delays we had were more than enough time for Rockstar to nativly support joystick input.
The muliti-vendor support for alternative controllers that was in GTA IV is NOT in GTA V. Your link is undeducated speculation. Do your homework before opening your mouth.
