GTA Online long loading times
Is there any way to speed up loading times in GTA online? It seems like I'm spending more time staring at loading screens than actually playing. Often after loading screen I get booted to story mode(my internet connection is stable). Even though I do have an SSD it still kinda slow.
And pretty often when Im joining a game, the game already started or everyone left or whatever.

Anyone got any ideas?

I have game on one SSD, O/S on another SSD, a 150mbps fibre connection, 8Gb of RAM and the game loads extremely slowly for me. It's either clientside ports or overload on the remote servers IMO.

I'd like a fix either way.

The game has been slow to load everything ever since it was first released on the PS3. Unfortunately, the answer is "Get used to it, it's not going to get any better".

The load times on the pc are way faster than the consoles regardless of your HD. I dont have an SSD and and it feels like light speed compared to the PS3.

with the exception of server side load issues (which have never been more than a minute ish), i load into the game in 20-30 seconds most of the time, if you are laoding into a full lobby i believe it needs to sync with everyone else which can take a bit longer.

are you sure your ssd's are ruinning at the proper speed, theres a fair ammount of issues that can slow them down ALOT, one of my samsung 850 evos decided it wanted to slow down to only 80mb/s the other day instead of its proper 500ish, a quick few changes and an update later and it was back up to speed, also what is the rest of your hardware like ? a fast connection and a fast ssd wont lead to amazing laod times if the processor cant ... well process it at a decent pace.

Yes, it also depends on the servers.

I got gta V on a ssd, and it loads the SP insanely fast on singleplayer, but uses some time to properly join a server (depends on which too)

Its not that the game loading too slowly. Usually loading times are around 30 seconds. But here how it goes:

1. I accept a job, 30 second loading time, join lobby and get a "heist leader has left the lobby", another 30 second loading time.
2. Or I accept a job, then I get "The lobby is full, do you want to wait in queue?" I press no, THEN I GET A FREAKING LOADING SCREEN, it shouldnt even be there.
3. Or the lobby is empty and noone want to join for a while.

Combining all 3 ways in different order and amount I spend something like 15 minutes on different loading screens between jobs, and then it is 4-6 players at most, where are the promised 32 player matches?

If we compare this to counter strike, starcraft or any other multiplayer game, gta online is very poorly designed.

Loading times depend on how many other players are in your session. The more players there are, the longer the loading times become.

Try Crew Only sessions (Load Story mode, go to online => play gta online => crew session).
Your loading times will be near instant.

Hitting home and joining a friend's server seems to drop me into a game much quicker.

I´m experiencing exacly the same.

The loading times have a bit improved if I compare them to the xbox360, but they are still way too long.
