Those surveys have been found to have been significantly skewed (particularily in the case of the majority of games apparently being female, with social 'games' being counted).

well you cant do an objective survey about gamers in general and not count mobile and social games as games as well. the reason why the majority of gamers were girls in those studies was specifically because of those mobile and social games that you mentioned. in this case i actually expect the age to be even more than 30 (not less) as one would expect most pc gamers to be older than console gamers and mobile gamers.
