Survival mode not unlocking

I was reading it was supposed to unlock post Rank 15 or so, I'm Rank 30 and still not unlocked. I have Ron in my cell phone contact list, but not trevor ~ do you have to play story mode to unlock trevor before Survival will unlock online?

Having the same issue...sure is frustrating...I've even done some survival jobs with my crew

I found out the reason, you have to also see Lester (L) online before it'll unlock. I'm guessing Rockstar didn't realise players like to mess around and do missions before visiting locations :p

But yeah, visit L on the map and it'll start unlocking everything including the passive mode tutorial in which you'll get a random bounty placed on you for $1000, which other players will be able to kill you. .. This bugged one me since I was in passive mode when I got the bounty and joined a regular open game and people was shooting at me and I couldn't fire back.

No missions are locked behind rank kids... Enable the blips on your map and use ya phone or esc menu to do any job/mission.

Edit: if you cant find it in the esc/jobs menu, go to website and bookmark it for play in game.
