GTA 5 Starts in Windowed Mode
I have it set to fullscreen, but whenever I start the game it seems to start in windowed mode. Anyone know why?

It happens if I inadvertantly click the mouse while it's loading. Has happened to me once or twice but not since I changed to borderless window mode.

Press alt+enter.
I know how to make it fullscreen and apply it, and alt + enter will fix it.

My problem is why sometimes when I exit the game and play next time, it will start in windowed mode.

Same deal... Yes everyone we know you can press Alt+Enter but WHY is it starting in windowed after setting the settings to fullscreen. Do you mean that is a trick to fullscreen and then apply and alt enter ontop of it to seal the deal? I will try that I guess...

I can see something eventually about changing the settings in the config and then making it read only.. that is probably the key.

I had this happen with some game in the past...I can't remember the game right now, but the cause of it was I wasn't running the game in my monitor's native resolution. May or may not help you.

In my case, it was teamviewer that was the problem... when i turned it of, it went to fullscreen directly and worked like a charm!

Teamviewer does do this with quite a few games as it tries to engage with the window in case you want to share it - I always forget to exit the application until encountering the problem!
I wonder if it's possible to tell TV to ignore certain applications? I've not checked but that would be a useful feature...

Hey guys, I believe this was my problem. Just don't do anything while it's starting.
