No way to delete useless comments either, unfortunately.
The majority of Curse words along with "Rockstar Games" etc, are blocked via filter. (I can't confirm if Rockstar is filtered in Game Chat, but it is for captions on snapmatic photos).
The thing is, that if someone were to type like the f bomb in online chat, it gets filtered for me, but not for some of my other friends.
Its a legit question. Here's why.
All throughout this game there is violence both physically and with firearms. There is drug use. There is sexual situations. The characters SWEAR like sailors ( in story mode ). With all this, having a swear filter in text chat is not only stupid, its very hypocritical.

A distance factor would be very nice.
There is an easy way to toggle who you can hear/who can hear you in the Interaction menu. Hit M (By default) And scroll down to the voice chat. You have various options, one of them being disabling VON entirely.
