Gun won't stop firing????

Ok my first annoying bug or maybe i'm missing something. I start firing my gun and it just keeps firing unless i switch to unarmed. WTF? Is there a hotkey for auto fire i'm missing or is this a bug?

bump. Anyone else have their gun keep shooting? maybe mouse lag issue in game?

there are several people with different keyboard/mouse input problems today. In my game i cant use the aiming mode by holding RM. I Have to klick it, then its aktivatet and have to klick it a second time to end it. Also i have issues by moving with my character. He stills moves in the same direktion a short time after i changed the direction. Hope this is a part of the Apdate today and will be fixed soon :(

Ya. I almost have to just smash the mouse buttons to stop the firing.

2020, just started the game and having this problem right off the bat. Would be nice to see some solutions online somewhere but I can't find anything!

Do you mean right from within the Prologue mission ? Because thats happening to me to. I never noticed that back when I had it installed.

Yeah from the start. I ended up just getting it on PS4 and playing that way.

Have you tried letting go of the mouse button? If you keep it pressed and it's an automatic weapon set to automatic it will keep firing until you release. Could be worth a try, works for me at least when I experience this.

Of course I wasn't holding the mouse button down. It would only make sense that a gun would fire with the fire button held down.

I can't even remember if I was able to fix this or not. I just remember the game ran very poorly on my PC, so my solution was to get the game for my PS4 after I bought one. No problems with that.

I think what they mean is that if its on the "bug autofire", make sure that you try one time to hold down the mouse button as if you weren't firing...then later you stop holding down the mouse button to see if it will somehow stop firing.

I just tried this and it stopped firing. I didn't expect it would work...but I had nothing to lose...

so one thing anyone can try if while you are not holding down any button your weapon is firing...

1. pretend like you are not firing and
2. hold down your mouse button to continuously fire
3. let go of the mouse button after 2-3 seconds and see if it stops firing

For me this worked.
