[Guide] How to request a refund for GTA V from valve/steam

I and many have experienced countless issues with Grand Theft Auto 5, I personally experience a crash while on the initial splash screen (up to date dx, vc++, drivers, etc, 4790k, 16gb ram, R9 290). While many issues have been fixed since tuesday, mine and many others seem to have never been -In this case it seems logical to want a refund.

To request a refund, open your steam client and click on your name and navigate to account details, find the store transactions page, and next to your purchase of GTA V, you should notice an option to refund the money used to buy this game- WARNING: Doing so will not refund money to your bank account the purchase was made on, but rather the steam wallet itself.

There are some other limits to the refund process, but I'm glad to see and report that if you are unable to play the game, you do infact have the option of refunding the game in some way.

currently trying to refund my copy as I just cannot play it, however there is no refund button next to the transaction. Have you successfully requested a refund?

for me it's not the game i want a refund on, it's the hundreds of dollars for shark cars for a game i can't get into anymore because i refuse to install battleye
