GTA V validation loop
I'm having issues with my steam client validating my GTA V files, finding no issues, and then just re-validating, seems to have started after the recent patch. Wondering if anyone else has encountered the issue, and if anyone knows any fixes, game worked fine before with good performance and very few crashes.

Same here, the game worked fine before and now it doesn't work because of a patch for other peoples problems. Only problem I had with installing the original gta 5 was with my antivirus (Bullguard) just wondering if you had the same and if that's the issue.
Yeah the only issue I had was my bullguard, I fixed the issue though. Used steam to delete local content, and then completely removed the GTA V folder from my library, reinstalled and it worked fine.

I did this but it seems to only be a temporary fix. It worked for a few days then it goes back to the validation loop. I also had the Bullguard issue so it seems to be the issue again.

+1 Any help would be great, dont want to contact rockstar as it seems more of a steam or bullguard problem.

Close steam and delete your gta5.exe and gtavlauncher.exe from your install directory (back them up just to be sure) and then let steam validate again. Works with me.

I tried uninstalling Bullguard completely but it didn't work. Reinstalling GTA for the 5th time since launch =/

Same problem. Will try what Downzilla did and report back.

Reinstalling worked for me. I just made a backup of the folder, and then installed from existing files. (Look it up on the internet)

I have been through 14 emails with Rockstar over this and they have no answers. We need our money back this is a joke.

I found disabling bullguard and then installing GTA worked for me. I think Bullguard was removing a critical file needed for GTA to launch during installation. Once it is installed you can re enable Bullguard. Worked for me.
