Well, Social Club slows down loading the Game. And it is useless. And it is very very annoying.

I for one would want to disable it because it always logs in in offline mode. Any suggestions because right now I want to break someone's legs.

Have you tried hitting Home to open the Social Club, when in-game? No idea if there are any settings there, but if not there, where else?

Tried hitting home when the prog is trying to log in. No luck, also I can't get into the game because you need to launch the game through the social club.

And there is the main problem for a lot of people. Once again Rockstar ♥♥♥♥♥ up the pc port with some ridiclous attempt at DRM. It's Windows live all over again.

Social Club is how Rockstar throws a sheet over their games having always online DRM. You can't play without Social Club for the same reason you weren't able to play without Games for Windows Live when that was a thing.

You can play single player offline if you want. I didn't have Internet for a few hours the other day and single player played great. It still launched social club but didn't log me in. So you don't always have to be online like people say.

I redeemed my code through the net using firefox. However, the offline mode message says that I need an internet connection to redeem the code. The social club account I have acknowledges my other rockstar games, but not this bloody one.

Also, I cannot get past the offline mode announcement. No effing thing works.
