Yeah Ive had the warping cars and definate headshots miss due to lag but generally it behaves pretty well. Im in England on BT Fibre Optic @ 7MB Down and 1.5 Up.

theres no servers on online, the use their servers for the transactions and social club. Online is P2P wherein players hosts the sessions instead of servers. They match you with other players and if your matched with players from different countries.. youre gonna have a bad time.

in that case.. they should either host dedi servers or ... make the match making more suitable for everyone, as in amtch players within certain range

I guess Internet speed wont matter as much because I used to play on my xbox 360 with speed 11 kb/s and I was fine, now on pc I have 30mb/s and I cant even get on GTA Online, it all matters on the servers transfer rate (how fast the server will receive your request and sent it back) the faster it does it the less lag you will have, I guess its because so many people play GTA Online the servers get a big overload, they need to have lots of server around the world to make it better.

cant play on any server with a 8players+ , so i have always to invite 2-4 friends to close party to be able to play online... , i had the game since release date , only played 500hrs most of them alone or single player.... (icurrently didnt play the game for 8 months straight lol , and when itried it today after upgrading my net it still the same).

to anyone reading this today, the server location does NOT matter, they are used for saving progress, money, stuff ONLY, it is a PEER TO PEER game, you directly connect to each player, if you are experiencing someone rubber-banding it is either your internet connection or theirs, or a combination of the two.

They will never use dedicated servers : it's a politically economically choice from R* for GTA Online.
Servers cost a lot.
Peer 2 Peer costs NOTHING to them.

There are no servers, only for social club verification. GTA is P2P. Whoever has the best connection in session takes over hosting lobby. Best connection in the world will not guarantee smooth GTA. There are no servers because that would cost R* more resources.
