Sandbox mode?
Is there a sandbox mode in this game, which will unlock everything the story would? or do I need to find a 100% completed save file?

The game is mostly sandbox.
And unlike San Andreas and Vice City you have access to the whole map right away.

A few vehicles and outfits require completion of the story.

No sandbox mode. Just complete the story mode, or you'll won't have a sense of accomplishment, and you'll become one of those people who think there's nothing to do and it boring.

I have my personal reasons why I don't want to play the story, but I would still like to play around in the world.

That's good to know, but what about the houses/apartments? do they require story mode to be completed?
