How to Sell garages/apartments in online?

Is it possible or once you get one you need to keep it, and how many are you allowed to have in total?

well, if I get all the cheapest ones I won't have the possibility to do heist without that special room, so i need to find ways to sell or stuff

You can only have 2 apartments/houses/garages total. To sell/replace a property just purchase the one you want, and the game will ask which of your properties you wish to replace, you will also get a % of the total you paid for that property deposited back into your bank account.

Ok, thanks, I wish there was a way to view the insides of it before buying them

You can have up to 3 properties in GTA Online, just confirming here since someone said 2. Other was answered already. You have the option to trade in a property when buying a new one.

Try youtube, i watched some videos where people show the inside of all the apartments. For the high level apartments with 10 car garages they look the same i think, except the 4 or 5 at the top which seem to be different from all below. The smaller apartments i don't know if they are different or not inside, i just checked the video about high level apartments.

Can you purchase an extra slot somehow? Because I've purchased many properties and could only ever have 2 at a time.

What level are you? After reaching level 15 or something like that, I got a message that I can now own up to 3 properties. So maybe you haven't reached that level yet. Or maybe it was another requirement, but I got the message about the up to 3 properties.

Mhh thats strange, I am currently ingame but you could try using google for that. I definitely got the message about up to 3 properties. I also owned 3 properties on the ps3 on my old character so its possible.

Heists update added in the third slot for consoles and since we have all the updates (except the one offs that have expired) we get 3 slots as well.

Quick question, can you get more apartments in one building, cus eclipse for example gives you the possiblity to get more apartments there, not even sure what the use woudl be, but you know, askin

Incorrect, you can have 3 apartments... after being level 12 and going to lester, on your way there, Rockstar notifies you that you can have only 3 apartments.

This was already corrected, read a little bit further and you would see that. I transferred at a high rank, so never saw the notification, it was probably lost with the dozens of other notifications/achievement backlog from activities I had already completed on console.
