GTA online - changing personal vehicle

Do you know how to change personal vehicle? I have 6 cars in garage but when i call mechanic he always delivers the same car. Can I change which car is delivered?

Go to the garage and change your vehicle. he brings the one you have out active. the others stay in your garage.

Call your mechanic with your cellphone through the phonebook, he'll list your cars and let you choose.

speaking of cars, how do do you control the roof with convertibles on keyboard, which button to put the roof up/down

i asked in another topic but didnt get any reply, so i ll try here since you re all so clever :) I have 2 characters. I want to change the looks on one of them, but i cant change mother/father again, so i need to delete him and do another one, right?
Now what i am wondering is, when i delete him, what happenes with properties and cars in garage? do i get money for them on the other char or do i lose the money?

that whole mechanic list thing is cool and all, but is there a way to set your personal vehicle so you don't constantly have to choose? Like, so I can request it from the interaction menu? Would be quite a bit easier.
