How does Replay work
Some times I have a crazy stunt, crash, rollover, etc, that I want to watch the replay in slowmo and different angles, especially when I'm playing in first person so I dont get exactly what happened. But I dont get how the replay work. I click and it start recording, but how do I watch? Plus do I really need to start to record? Can I, like in GTA4, have a Instant Replay to just watch the previous 30 seconds or such at any time? I dont want to save the replay, edit or whatever, just watch havok in slowmo and various angles.

There are two recording options. One is the standard recording, which lets you start and end the recording whenever you want and the other is the Action Replay, which has to be activated and records the last 30 seconds, when you hit F1.
Be aware that you can't edit camera angles when recording something in first-person.

You find the clips when hitting ESC and going to the Rockstar Editor tab.

Yeah... I noticed it and think it's kinda sh*tty. I mean, to enter the Rockstar Editor I have to quit my current game, losing the progress, and I cant watch what is happening outside in the first person view.

Really... the GTA IV instant replay works great, why they remove it and did this things instead!? I mean, Rockstar Editor is great, but when I just want to watch a crash that just happened and not edit/share/whatever it just sucks.

I found if you hold alt for changing char if you hold it long enough f2 shows a replay ?

I haven't really messed about with the replays too much, but it might be what you're after.

Hmmmm... interesting. I will try it.

The most annoying part is that you can't save a clip after your death. That's just ridiculously stupid.

I hope Rockstar see it and give us back something like the instant replay from GTA IV... it was fine the way it was, dont need to totally remove it just to give the Rockstar Editor, something that, really, I never plan to use. I just want to watch some cars rolling over and some people getting rammed in slowmo from my last "accident" and in different angles without having to quit my current game, that's all...

Just something like: awesome crash > hit ESC > watch replay > replay the last 30 secs in different angles and slowmo > quit the replay > continue the gameplay from where I stopped before hitting ESC.

When you hit Escape and go to Editor section, you can access the editor and you have access to the complete guide of using replay and things like that.
