Be aware that you can't edit camera angles when recording something in first-person.
You find the clips when hitting ESC and going to the Rockstar Editor tab.
Yeah... I noticed it and think it's kinda sh*tty. I mean, to enter the Rockstar Editor I have to quit my current game, losing the progress, and I cant watch what is happening outside in the first person view.
Really... the GTA IV instant replay works great, why they remove it and did this things instead!? I mean, Rockstar Editor is great, but when I just want to watch a crash that just happened and not edit/share/whatever it just sucks.
I haven't really messed about with the replays too much, but it might be what you're after.
Hmmmm... interesting. I will try it.
Just something like: awesome crash > hit ESC > watch replay > replay the last 30 secs in different angles and slowmo > quit the replay > continue the gameplay from where I stopped before hitting ESC.
