Keyboard walking in first person.

It's impossible to walk in first person while using a keyboard. Only using a controller, having the game force you, or changing the view to first person it will let you walk. Other than that, you have no choice but to run around everywhere.

Please Rockstar, modders, ANYONE! There needs to be a button to toggle between Walking and Running in First Person!

there is already a fix ....its called the shift key

holding it down makes your run .....ive logged over 16 hours and havent experianced one problem

When you go in first person YOU ARE JOGGING.

YOU ARE NOT WALKING.

There's a difference. You cannot walk while in first person unless you're forced by the game in certain cutscenes.

There are three stages of moving on foot: walking, jogging, and running. On the gamepad you hold the 'run' button to jog, and tap it repeatedly to sprint. With the keyboard you're either sprinting (holding shift) or you're not. In third-person you walk or sprint, and first-person you jog or sprint. It is noticeable, and it is annoying. There should be a toggle option or keybind for jogging versus walking.

You can actually walk, job and sprint in third person. Tap shift once to job, hold to sprint. Dont know why you're forced to jog on 1st.

I agree - there is NO walking in first person view on the PC - you're jogging - the shift key makes you run. to walk you have to a) be in a cut scene, b) be in 3rd person view. :(

I like the jogging, but sometime I want to look around me and take in the world so would like to walk - the only way is to crouch, which isn't right.

I sent a ticket to Rockstar about this. Their own Support forums has at least five open threads about this issue. Hopefully they figure it out soon and deploy a patch. All they have to do is correct the controls so they work the exact same way in first person view that they do in third person. The only way I've been able to achieve any kind of walking is to open up the Interaction Menu, but this is obviously no solution since you can't really look around since the mouse cursor becomes available for selection the options. This at least proves that the characters can walk, Rockstar just forgot to give us the ability to do so.
