Rockstar put the minimum requirements that 4GB would be enough for the game to work at least the minimum of the game setting.

But this is not working, no matter what your CPU or your VGA. Will not work if you do not have at least 6GB RAM.

Why Rockstar put the minimum would be 4GB if that's not enough?

Perhaps this is a temporary problem, which would be understandable. But if that changes, they deceived everyone with a PC with 4GB.

In today's update nothing has changed.

Horrible lags while driving a car.

I begin to believe that Rockstar was wrong to put 4GB minimum recommendations. The game does not work with 4 GB and it is very unlikely that they can adjust it.

If someone you want to buy the game and has 4GB RAM, not buy. The game does not work.

why do people try and play a game like this with barely the minimum spec? surely it would be easier to play the console version? no offense, just wondering.. seems like so much hassle

I get SOME lag with 32GB. It depends on the traffic and the part of the city I'm in.

That is probably you hitting the VRAM limit. Nothing to do with system RAM.

yes it is, i have other pc (i3+7770+4gbram) and the game runs ok.

I have 4GB RAM and the game works fine. Not "usable RAM", not "amount of RAM left after closing all other applications" and such. I just have total of 4GB RAM installed in my PC. The game works really great. No lag, and it crashed yesterday after non-stop running for like 16 hrs. *speaks in Trevor's voice* Please restrain yourself from false accusations.

This game has no problems at all with memory lol. Memory leaks can be caused on your end too. Look if your memory is seated well. Also run memtest if you find having problems with your memory. This game is by far one of the best ports I have seen. Also like they said 4Gb of USEABLE memory. If you have background programms running you need a higher one. I run it on 6gb of memory with background programs.

I run it on 4GB with my anti-virus and browser running, with tons of "lighter" programs running in the background, and I have no problems whatsoever.

Maybe its not your system ram but rather your video card ram giving you the issues LuaN?

Min req is for lowest resolution with framescaling on 0.5 and all other options on lowest....

Who the heck only has 4 gigs nowadays anyway???

4gb is minimum to launch the game executable. Not minimum requirement to play smoothly.
