GTA V not launching (no error message, just doesn't launch...)
I have seen other people having this issue when using mobile nvidia cards but I am running on a desktop and getting this issue.

On launch night the game launched and ran perfectly. The next day I go to launch it and in my task manager and "GTAVLauncher.exe" shows up for a few seconds and my status is set to in game. Then GTAVLauncher.exe goes away and my status reverts back to online.

Going to do some useless driver updates now to see if that helps (which it shouldn't since I played in on launch night...)

Any advice would help.

Thank you.

FOR ANYONE HAVING THIS ISSUE WHILE PLAYING ON A LAPTOP WITH A NVIDIA GPU!

Open device manager, go to display adapters, and disable your nvidia device so only the intel card is enabled. After launching the game re-enable the nvidia card quickly. The game will then work. Seems like there's a compatibility problem with mobile nvidia cards.

I've had the same problem, but I haven't been able to play at all, not even launch night

I cannot find the "playGTAV.exe" file either so maybe that has something to do with it... Going to verify game files soon.

(BAD ENGLISH)
I think you have 2 videocards(maybe) Nvidia owners cant load gtavlauncher.exe, AMD owners cant load gtav.exe So, if you have Nvidia-disable it, maybe you can play. If not, wait untill they patch it.

That problem is only for people using a mobile Nvidia card, I was able to play on launch night.

I have a one GPU desktop and have this problem.

No one has a fix, I have tried pretty much all solutions.

Just have to sit and wait.

I have the fix!

So basically I reinstalled social club and launched GTA V, it did a first time set up and then launched correctly.

Here is the link to the social club manual download.

Enjoy.
