Cars feel slow
And I'm not talking about the framerate here, although there is some stutter when crashing into objects/cars. But I get the general feeling that cars are freaking slow. I've tried different cars and some bikes, but all of them give the same result.

When passing traffic on the highway in the fastest car I found so far (pegassus/infernus) it feels like I'm only doing 90mph, while traffic runs at 70-80. There is just zero sense of speed. I also never felt like I was about to lose control over the car like I did at high speeds on the PS3 version.

This is completely immersion and even game breaking. It is absolutely ridiculous to hear the heavy engine strain, while not going any faster than my real life 3cylinder 1.4liter compact car ...

The infernus isn't really that fast honestly, even though it's labeled as a super car. If you play in FPS mode, the sense of speed is a bit off.

Try finding a Zentorno in SP, fully upgrade it and take it on the highway.

I have also tried a few of the sports bikes, and not a single one of them was able to zip past traffic, they all felt like you were going at a modestly faster speed than other traffic, like you would when doing an overtaking manouver IRL. When I floor the gas on a sport bike I am supposed to fly past a big truck ...

Oh for the bikes, if you wheelie the bike will hit it's top speed a hell of a lot faster (Physics are weird). Try out the Hakuchou, or the Bati-801.

Thats just the typical gta mechanic. the faster you go the faster goes the traffic.

Sometimes. Although I've been hearing the sense of speed on PC isn't what it's like on the PS4, or Xbone. So it might just be a bug.

But I can assure you, that most cars you drive will tear away from any NPC cars.

But, in SP if you want. Try out the Turismo R, Zentorno, Entity XF or one of the racecars. They all go insanely fast.

I've noticed the max speed seems a little slow. Max speed in a speedy car not being much faster than traffic etc and I never had this thought on PS3.

It might be, because one of the updates not too long ago made it so if you added a turbo to your car. It would go like turtle slow. But they fixed it on PS4, so I'm not sure if that's it or not.

I just fired the game up after not playing since April of 2016 and, IMO, the cars seem painfully game breaking-ly slow. All of the supercars I can pretty much mash the throttle all the way and hold it and cruise for miles upon miles without hitting anything. 90 degree turns and everything. Quite frankly it is pathetic how much they dumbed this game down for little kids that really shouldn't have been playing it in the first place. Only so they could take all of their (parents) milk money, I suspect. All the driving from 4 needed was a little tweaking for a less boat like feel and less body roll. If people couldn't drive in 4 it was because they didn't know how to drive period. I was extremely disappointed before release when I found out they went full-on arcade. I will probably be retiring this game as of now, with exception to times when I just want to have a laugh at rockstar. I have always played GTA to have fun cruising around and the way the driving physics are in 5, it just isn't even remotely fun anymore. Especially after taking a long break and picking it up again and realizing how terrible the driving really is.

try Dinka Double-T after fully upgraded... it feels fast and can handle very well :-)

I don't consider being glued to the road as handling well. Granted I haven't driven that car, but I know it doesn't meet up to my desired physics for a game such as GTA. YMMV
