Game reverts to window mode each time you start game?
Anyone know how to fix the game reverting to window move each time you play the game? All other graphic settings are saving.

Do you have teamviewer installed?

I have this problem, if you have Nvidia Experience launch the game from there, if I do that, the game starts in Full screen like you would expect. Edit: I used to have teamviewer installed, but not any more.

I have nvidia aswell , it only opened on windowed mode the first time , i pressed ALT+Enter that time and now it always start in full screen mode.

Pressing Alt-enter isn't a proper solution, it seems that Steam isn't launching the game correctly, because launching the game from Nvidia Experience works fine (it starts in full screen mode as it's configured to do).

I had this problem but suddenly it started to launch in windowed mode, maybe because I lowered some gfx and I was not using double my Vram. Maybe something to do with that?

Happens to me with my Nvidia, I usually have to set it in options every time. Wee bit annoying.

It must be something to do with the way Steam launches the game because if I launch the game via Nvidia Experience the game uses the full screen mode which it's supposed to.

I only had to do it the first time i played the game, never had to do it again.

Every time I launch GTA V via Steam or the desktop icon it erroniously starts in bordered window mode and I see a nasty window border round the edge of the screen. I have tried over and over to reconfigure it in Fullscreen mode, but it refuses to keep the setting when launching via Steam or desktop icon.

The only way I can start the game and have it keep it's full screen mode is to launch the game via Nvidia Experience.

It's like Steam is using launch options which force bordered window mode for some unknown reason.

Thanks for the responses guys. Anyone else also getting massive slowdowns on the in game menu? FPS still shows 60-90 FPS though
JayOnSpeed Apr 15, 2015 @ 2:15am
Not really , the mouse in the menus feels a litte laggy like its dipped in tar but other then that it works fine.

I have noticed that with the game running in the background and I'm on the desktop, key entry on the keyboard has a huge delay, almost as if I'm on a far away remote desktop and there's a huge input lag going on, very strange.

Oh and yeh lots of wierd mouse lag, very floaty, not able to aim precisely like in BF4 for example.

have you tried pressing Alt+Enter?

if it starts up in a window just do that and it'll go fullscreen.

I've dual monitor hooked to a 960. First start of the game no problem at all. I closed it and then run Nvidia Experience to let it find the game settings and applied optimizations.

After that I was o longer able to have full screen on my primary monitor neither launching from steam nor from N.E. although in game video setting was fullscreen.

I then noticed a "windowed borderless" option and it is now properly fullscreen on my primary monitor.

Got windowed mode the first time loaded the game but after checking the graphics settings it had set the resolution to 800x600 :) changed to 1920x1080 and it went into full screen and has ever since.
