How do i Activate my rockstar code?

If it is just a game code but not a gift send through Steam, go to rockstar games home page, log into your social club account, then active GTA V from that "GTA V Game Code" option, give it a try, it might be the reason...

Don't do it through the rockstar website. You will lose your key if you do

Some versions of the game are for the social club downloader instead of steam. If you code format is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx you need to redeem it at the social club website

I haveinstalled the game already, run it, and open social on it, and then i opened the browser on my desktop and went to my profile, and it says i need to activate gta v

My problem was finding my cd key but search engines were less than helpful guiding me to this sorry necroed thread.

Rightclick the game in your library and select "View CD key" to get the key that Rockstar games asks for in the installer. thx bye
