I have the same problem here, no tutorial at all. You just end up drowning. This is a pretty sh*tty experience and a huge oversight. I'm just mashing my keyboard here trying to find how to swim up...

swimming is tricky . i dies a couple times before i figured it how. hold shift to start swimming and use the wsad to aim your character.

This is ret*rded, I just found out how the controls work. When entering the water your movement controls become directional controls and you just swim in your view direction by holding down your sprint button. So WASD is Up/Left/Down/Right. And the Sprint button is Move forward. On the surface you suddenly DO have to hold W AND your sprint button to swim forward. These controls are sh*t and really unintuitive.

Yeah it's pretty weird the first time. First you dive with space, then you swim with shift, and (if i recall correctly, it could be reversed) use S to rotate up and W to rotate down. And normal swimming (not diving) is just shift and W i think, just don't press space if you only want to swim normally because if you do press space you go into 'dive mode', and the controls work differently.

I don't even see the controls in the keybind settings menu!

He was arrested on the controls and Mizuno Kartika solid skull cavity.
As long as the left hand finger on a large cushion allows water to move faster if the river or the sea. Dive the oposition of the instructed above or legislate the buttons again in a forefinger manner to the first. Good luck!

W and S go from forward and backwards to down and up. hold shift to swim. if there is a button to move faster its caps

its completely wonky i know

The swimming controls in this game are just flat out terrible
When you're underwater, forget about the directional keys alltogether.

Hold shift and use the mouse to look in the direction you want to move. Want to surface, look up at the surface while holding shift. Want to dive deeper, look down while holding shift.

Yeah, it depends on if you're on top of the water or under the water. You hit the space bar to transistion between the two.

I agree. The swimming controls are easily the crappiest controls I've seen in a game for a very long time.

above water, W and S and Shift to go faster (space to dive)

Underwater, W and S to surface or dive (or use your mouse) shift to go faster.

It's wonky. You also have to use space to climb out of the water wich sometimes makes you die...dive again.

This is the best solution that works! It works so well, before I was using wasd keys and dying because I couldn't swim up correctly. This method has made me a swimming pro!!!.. Thanks for this tip :))

Shift+W to move forward
Space to go down
A to go up
Controls are dodgy
