Anyone Has 4GB of ram? Please answer about your GTA V performance.
I have a suspicious feeling, that the cause of my GTA V stuttering is the lack of 8gb of ram. Just do not want to waste money and then realize it didn't help. Some of you guys have 4gb of ram and have also some serious stuttering?
Specs: GTX 560 1gb, pentium g3258 OC 4.3ghz, 4gb RAM.
Almost all settings set to medium, MSAA off.

Minimum spec requirement is 4GB ram, I think he is reffering to the fact alot of people are talking about the GPU vram which needs 4gb for high textures... Just lower your textures and then adjust everything else and you might be fine

Why do you guys torture yourself by running games on minimum hardware?

Because I haven't got some couple of hundred of euros to spend on new components. Just the fact that game itself is running at 60fps, damn even if i turn everything on high, i will get 30 + fps. Just the stuttering that drives me crazy...

I just moved to a new place faraway from home, I could only bring the GTX660 GPU. I got old desktop with Core2Duo E7400 and 4GB of RAM from my friend. I tried playing GTA V from my friend. It stutters because sometime in the middle of the game it consumes more than 4GB and the Windows access swap file (virtual memory) in HDD.
The trick is to use SSD for faster virtual memory, alternatively you can also use another separate HDD for virtual memory or even employ another storage such as flashdrive for ReadyBoost (or even virtual memory) under Windows Vista/7/8.

Hope it helps.

You don't need more than 4Gb to run GTAV smoothly and I insist on it. Of course, the more the better, that's a given.

I've got two DDR3 PC3 1600/12800 planks and I can run the game smoothly both in SP and online iterations. Of course, the graphics settings may seem modest to some, but the game still looks better than the PS3 version so I'm fully content with it (have no money for an upgrade, see).

It's worth mentioning that sometimes when I drive fast in free roam for some time I start seeing missing textures here and there (mainly on the road), but it's not that annoying, I just slow down and everything loads properly.

Hey! Did that 8GB RAM upgrade solve your stuttering issue? I'm also having 4GB RAM and they get full also page file goes to ~7900MB. This game has serious memory issues. When my RAM gets full and page file at 6000-7000MB the game stutters like hell, it is not playable at all.
