Can't join friends. Says I need to finish the GTA Online Tutorial
But the thing is I chose not to do the tutorial. What now?

You have to. Once you have created your character, it will require you to do a race, a mission, and rob a store.

I did all of that plus I died horribly at the robbing mission.

Yeah this bug has been around for a while on the console, looks like it's continued over.

Get your friends to change lobbies and get each to check if they can send you an invite. Try other things like exiting to story and chosing joing friends from the list to get back to online.

Happened a lot with one of our hesit members, he couldn't invite anyone, and only one of us could invite him after some jumping around. Usually resolves itself eventually and tends to happen when somebody has only just logged in to online

My friend said he didn't see an option to invite. This was when I was in another lobby.

EDIT: Also trying to join from singleplayer didn't work.

When you go to friends list in game it should have a join and invite option when you select a friend directly. If it says (Disabled) next to join or invite it's glitching.

Might be worth getting all the tutorial missions done too just in case. (There isn't many)

Im having same problem, but i cant find anyone to join my Last Team Standing, works fine on room mates pc, no fire wall blocking goin on either.

I THINK I finished the tutorial, but when I try to invite my friend to join my heist. They don't see it. I also have problems joining them and inviting them in the game pause menu. I can join them in Rockstar Menu though. PC BTW

I've been playing the GTA V for over a year online, I've done all the Heists, and I'm currently level 37.
I'm working my way through the Heists again with friends and last night "Join Friends" and "Invite Friends" was disabled for me. If I attempted to Join my friends sessions I got a message telling me I had to complete the online tutorial and setup an online character. Any ideas how to solve this?
