Crash/freeze when Franklin mission starts

After the cutscene where Michael visits the shrink starts the Mission where Franklin and Lamar need to repo 2 cars. I usually crashes right at the beginning of the mission, sometimes i can walk up to the cars but then it instantly crashes.

I had no problem playing the prologue mission.

Anyone else had this problem?
Maybe someone found a fix?

i think i found it, verfiy, it helped me with more or less the same problem, i had the problem no npc reacted to me

I had freezing problems from the start... and now my GTX 780 is fooked.

I'm getting a similar problem, I can normally get about 3 - 4 minutes into the first mission with Franklin and Lamar stealing the cars but it crashes after a while, goes to a black screen where the sound stutters and eventually drops me to the desktop and says GTA V needs to close. I then get the "GTA V closed unexpected" message a lot of other users are getting.

Edit: I've also tried verifying and rebooting and hasn't helped.

Exact same problem with Franklin mission. It happens as soon as I drive away from the cops showing up.

Finally got passed it. Turned off the autosave once the mission began. Good luck.

You pay for a game in the release, but you can't play the game, while pirates running the game smoothly.

I had the same problem using a ATI Radeon R9 280-card. The game allways crashed when i entered the movie set... I fixed it with the "RAPTR"-Client that came with my gfx driver. I marked the game to be optimized under the library section. After that everything worked fine. Perhaps it works the same way with nvidia-expirience...
