Where are Snapmatic shots saved?
Game says it's saving them to "Gallery"... Can't find them in the game or on my computer! Anyone know where they are stored?

They are saved here: C:\Users\<UserName>\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles\<YourProfileName>

There are several files that start with PGTA and some number - copy those to some other folder and then add .jpg to them - you won't be able to open them with the windows preview app but IrfanView can open them. Specs are 960x536 pixel at 24 Bit - sad that it downscales the pictures before uploading already, I had hope that it captures them at a higher quality and scales it down only before uploading to RSC, pity

Yeah I wish the shot was taken at the resolution you're playing in, I wanna show off my pics in good quality.

None of my photos show up on the Rockstar Social site either. I go into Snapmatic, find my name, and it shows none of them. Seems like a waste of time.

Go to the gallery and press Enter.

You do not actually need IrfanView, you can just add that ".jpg" as mentioned before and drag that file into photoshop, if you have it, and than just save it as PNG for better quality.

There might be more than 70 files in that folder so if you have to add .jpg to each of them one by one it's gonna take a while. instead in the folder where those files are located do this:

  • Open the folder and Shift + Right-click in it and select the command prompt in the context menu then enter

  • Ren *.* *.jpg

Man, this is the kind of answer I am looking for in forums! Thanks!
I would add that I am using XnView to view images, a free tool -- I hope this is not considered advertising -- that has wonderful renaming and conversion tools inside. So, I right-clicks on any file I copied like you said, in the new folder, I chose to open with XnView, then inside the program Iselected all files, batch-renamed all to GTA5-*** and automatically chose to add extension .jpg and voila! it took a few seconds to have all my 100 images in a folder, thanks to you (and this tool).

Those are in the "GTA V" folder, go into the "Profiles" folder
Otherwise maybe have GTA running

I added the jpg extension, my image editors still refuse to open them. :(
