This game should not be dependent on being connected to Steam, but it is, this is a decision that Rockstar decided put forward.

Also, if you don't buy the Steam version, then you will have to deal with Rockstar's other form of DRM, in which you have to download a 5GB patch, and the Launcher will verify the game's files everytime it starts.

But fundamentally you cannot complain about 'having' to connect to Steam servers when the person who spent their hard earned wonga made that conscious decision to buy the Steam version than the Social club version.

Nah, not even then.

Why does no-one understand that it COULD be a communication issue caused by Rockstar incorrectly handling responses from the Steam Server?
I swear everyone just assumes it's Steam's fault.

Not to say I'm defending Steam / Valve on this, just trying to educate people on how "communication" works BOTH WAYS.
