In my case I had a really old Social Club account associated with an email address that I no longer use. I have access to the email address, but it's one I don't use. I wasn't aware that this had been linked with my Steam account - or at least permanently.
When I got GTA V on PS3 I signed up for the Social Club with my current email address and linked the game there. That is the Social Club account I want to use so I can get the returning player content, but my Steam account is locked to the other Social Club profile.
I can't comment on why other people have more than one Social Club account, but they may have similar situations with old email addresses etc.
They answer fast after the last quote of text I posted here. Maybe this motivates you!
I provided pretty much all of the information in my original ticket that they asked from you. The only thing I didn't provide from that list of stuff was a copy of my Steam transaction history, but I did confirm the CD key and provide a screenshot of that from my Steam library.
I also assume they won't check your first post at all and you get that automated message, even if you've provided everything. But as I said they answer really fast after they've replied at all.
So you won't be able to play MP3 anymore if you want to. Or you buy a new CD-Key, I guess.
All I need now is the returning player status transferring, if that's possible. If not I will unlink my PSN from the other Social Club and link it to this one to see if that flags my PS3 GTA V profile.
So my social clubaccount with gtaV registred, was linked to secondary steam account.
I just send a request to also unlink that account, will update on here ofcourse.
I contacted them at 1:30am, 90 minutes after the game was released. That was three and a half days ago.
Hello Samozrejme,
Thank you for contacting Rockstar Support.
Sorry about the delay, but I'm sure you understand that the situation is a little complicated. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to unlink or transfer game keys, however we can unlink Steam accounts so that you can link whichever Steam account you like to whichever Social Club you like.
Problem is - I already made a secondary Social Club account which is already permalinked to my GTA V CD-key and THAT can't be removed. Meh, got myself to blame for not being patient enough, no hard feelings.
If not, I'll just miss out on that content - or buy it when it inevitably becomes DLC for the rest at a later date.
