FINALLY A OFFICIAL TIME FOR RELEASE!

Rockstar have confirmed the times that GTA V PC will be launching.
Times for different time zones can be seen below:

BST: 12:00 AM - 14th April
PST: 4:00 PM - 13th April
CEST: 1:00 AM - 14th April
CST: 6:00 PM - 13th April
JST: 9:00 AM - 14th April
EDT: 7:00 PM - 13th April
MDT: 5:00 PM - 13th April
MSK: 2:00 AM - 14th April
AEST: 9:00 AM - 14th April
IST: 4:30 AM - 14th April

These time go off of BST (Britsish Summer Time - UK) as Rockstar North are the one's who developed GTA V and they are based in Scotland, UK - hence BST!

I understand what you're saying, yes Rockstar knows how massive it is, and even a bit of common sense on Steam's part would tell them that that's what they should do. But as Grox said and most everyone here knows, Steam has a reputation.

Also, your point about the money, honestly what difference at all would it make at this point? Who here is going to not buy the game/ask for their money back because the game can't be played until, say, Steam's normal update time of 10am PST? The money is already there and it's not going to change.

As for me though, if Steam doesn't release it at the same time, I will remember this forever. Never again will I buy a game from them that I'm counting the minutes to when I can play it. But not very many will do the same, it won't affect Steam's bottom line, and they know it.

We'll just have to hope they do the right thing. In an ideal world Steam would post a countdown on the game like with Mortal Kombat X, but I doubt that's going to happen. I think we've gotten all the information we're going to get, all we can do now is wait & see.

Okay, fair enough about the money - it is getting late here :p all things point to Steam releasing in time. I'm sure Rockstar would have got them into shape for this :p

Well that's something at least. I hope it'll be at the same time too. It would indeed be a shame.

I understand the concern some users are having with steam possibly being delayed in the release, and it is a very valid one, and I must admit, a concern of my own as well. That said, Steam has done on-time releases for far less anticipated titles than this.

I'm in PST time zone so at the time I took that screenshot the time is correct for 4pm PST on the 13th (12am GMT on the 14th)!

EDIT: DrawVid you should do one final edit with a link to the "buy GTA V" page on Steam so everyone can see that there's a countdown now.

Yes 7am on the 14th CST (Shanghai time) is correct.
