GTA V as a Non-Steam game

If I buy a Key of GTA V for the PC and then download the game on my PC is it then possible to put the game in the Non-Steam Game Library and use all the features that are also in the Steam-Version (Screenshots, Ingametime, Inviting Friends, etc.)?

why didn't i read this first before doing the same silly thing... i hate it so much, not having the steam version blows :(

As of the last patch, I can add PlayGTA5.exe and it works with the Steam overlay.

If you are still not able to get the overlay to work (like me) then make sure that BOTH steam and playGTAV.exe are running in admin mode. Works a treat now for me.
