Will rather buy a 50 wallet code and use it on steam.
Thanks
There is nothing more false than this statement. You can buy Steam game keys at Green Man Gaming. GTV PC had a 20-25% discount not too long ago. Greenmangaming.com Humble Bumble is another that provides games with Steam keys as well.
That would be news to me. And I just checked. The only thing that is mentioned (as probably was before) on the GMG site for GTA V is "Other DRM" meaning Rockstar Social Club.
There you go from the GMG store page:
Edit: I also checked the Humble Store. You will find the exact same information there:
But its not the Steam Version over at GMG
Not all as most EA titles from there need only Origin and most Ubisoft titles just need uPlay
That indeed is true for many games. GMG as well as the Humble Store and so much others are legitimate resellers for Steam keys. But every time you buy a Steam copy, be it on Steam directly or via 3rd-party sites like GMG, Valve gets a share (I heard 30% but I can't tell if that is true).
Rockstar does not want to give Steam that much money, so they decided not to offer Steam version anywhere else besides Steam. And as far as we now Steam will also just start the Social Club for us and provide as with a key.
I also edited my first post, so there are no more misunderstandings.
Yeah, I couldn't care less for Origin (full priced games), even for crappy BF (whatever).
