Anyone know about g13 compatability?
So i'm thinking about getting a logitech G13 to use with gta5. I'm mainly getting it so that i'll have a means of using analogue steering in vehicles (and mouse controlled view) as it has an analogue stick on the side. Does anyone know if this'll be compatible with gta5? Will this analogue input from this be able to be used ingame?

No idea getting an Xbox controller is the safest bet. Third party controllers have worked on older GTA games but not sure about this one.

If it uses similar drivers as a PS4 or X1 controller (I personally use an X1 controller), it will most likely work.
Xbox 1, 360, or PS3/4 with DS3.

No reason to purchase that.

This isn't Assetto Corsa or anything.
No reason to purchase that when a controller will do just fine.

The g13 isnt a racing wheel, it's a keypad(like a keyboard but less keys) with the addition of a small analogue stick on the right hand side. The whole thing is fully configurable and can be used for purposes(one of which is gaming).

Yeah my mistake, but no reason to use a keypad this isn't a MMO or anything it is Open World. A controll will work just fine for this game.

Indeed i have considered using a controller, but i dont like the idea of aiming with an analogue stick. It would take plenty of getting used to and i'd be much better off using a mouse for aiming as i do with all my other fps games.

Razer Orbweaver is fully configurable and macroable. I've never used the g13, but I would expect it comes with similar software to manage how it is viewed by the game. I'll still probably use a controller for driving at least, but Razer Orbweaver + Razer Naga for everything else, gives me more than enough keys and key combinations under my hands without having to stretch across a full sized keyboard. Plus if they've actually redone the UI for computer, odds are good that the weapon wheel will be accessible by the number keys which will make weapon selection easy on a Naga (12 keys under the thumb, effectively 6 under the fingers plus the scroll wheel).

I just use a Logitech controller, pretty cheap and reliable.

I have a g13 with an analog stick instead of the included analog "nub" and I wouldn't use it for driving. I'ts great for movement on foot but even though it's an analog stick it doesn't get analog movement, it's on or off like keys. Compatibility wise the g13 works on everything since you program it with your own keybindigs. I'm planning on using that plus a mouse for on foot and a 360 controller for driving and flying.

Really? I heard it could be set to be an analogue stick, bound to keys or emulate a mouse.... Hmmm, may have to rethink this then.....

That's not true, the analog stick works as any joystick would on pc.

I have a G13 and it worked great with GTA 5 so far. I don't use the analog stick for driving though, usually as 1 2 3 4 keys for switching weapons and WASD for directions. It works well so far, even for driving.

Any help to get the G13 working in analog in GTA V please?
I have been trying to get the G13 joystick to work in analog with GTAV with no luck! I can use WASD keys programmed to stick, but I would rather analog!!! I use X360ce with other games to emulate the G13 stick as a Xbox 360 controller with no issues. With GTAV it doesn't seem to emulate a Xbox 360 controller with X360ce. It doesn't work.

GTAV lets you use any controller in a calibration screen once you are in game, but the screen forces you to program every button in sequence. The G13 only has one Directx button, (press stick in) you therefore cannot complete the calibration to use the G13!!!!

Rockstar seems have gone out of their way to add features to this PC version, and for the most part they have done an excellent job... except controller implementation! Why is not that every PC game just gives you an option to use multiple controllers easily?! Only flight sims seem to do this, but GTA would be a perfect candidate to use a wheel, stick, pad at the same time. Arrrrgg!

If X360ce would work to emulate a Xbox 360 controller, then no calibration would be needed.

Please assist let me know if anyone got the G13 to work in analog in GTAV. Thanks

Same problem here. You really NEED analog for proper driving. It is just so much better. My G13 stick works great on every other game i own. We should be able to map the analog stick.

I have my G13 modded with a PS2 thumbstick and a third-party rubber grip and use it for all FPSs. I got it working with the X360ce app! It seems that GTAV is 64 bit, so you need the 64 bit version of X360ce. See here:

http://ngemu.com/threads/gta-v-pc-and-x360ce-compatibility.170785/

StolenX's mediafire link has the download of X360ce 64bit

I wish still Devs would allow multiple controllers in their games FFS!
