It depends. Both are different, even if they lookalike. Acctually, GTA V brings you a open world experience, totally sandbox, while Hardline just want to bring you the experience of real time combat. Both are fun and good games, but, If I was you, I would rather buy GTA V than Hardline. The reason? It's because I have more than 2k hours in BF3 and around 500h in BF4, so I'm done with this kind of playstyle. Anyway, if you repent, before the official release, you can cancel your pre-order.

If you like big open world games where you can do whatever you want or can do then Hardline is not the place to be,
both are completely different games, i suggest to look for gameplay videos and rewievs for both games on youtube

playing BFH for 2 weeks. the story mode bored but worth play once, the mutiplayer nothing really new compare to other BF titles, and EA origin suck like hell many connection issue......if you can efford get both, if not suggest u get GTA5 and it may last you longer

Seems like a disgusting thing to even comparison. GTA V is fun, Battlefield Hardline is a $60-$110 half-baked mod.
