GTA V for PC is delayed not because the time was needed, but because it's not prioritized!

Sometimes a developer misses their schedule, and need more time to make the game they planned. This is not one of these times. Think about it.

GTA V was released late 2013 (also delayed). Over a year later they releases the game on current consoles. Half a year later they announce it for PC, and keeps delaying it, saying they need more time. Even the initial PS3/Xbox 360 release was delayed!

Think about all the years in the development business they have, all the experience and expertise, and what kind of budget they are able to put into these games. Do you really think they wasn't able to make a certain development schedule for this game, time and time again? They've been developing games since the 90's...

This is business, they know consoles is where the gold is. And as I previously noted, this is a pretty capable developer. That's why I don't buy the "uuh, we need more time polishing this game to make it perfect for you cus' we luv you so"... Besides the obvious exaggeration this is what they've said all along.

Don't come here and tell me that they wasn't able to complete this game earlier. This is about prioritizations, not needing more time. The PC release isn't important enough for them. If they really cared about getting the PC version out quick we'd have it when it was released for PS4 and Xbox One.

'Rockstar' is actually quite fitting... Arrogant and self-indulgent rocker. They rock alright, but f--k do they know it! And they come on stage when they feel like it.


For this price it better be good... Thanks to Rockstar for caring for PC gamers...

Having worked in the industry for a while, I agree that it doesn't have to take this long. Porting the game from console to PC is not that hard. But maybe they aren't just making a cheap console port like they did with GTA IV, maybe they finally learned their lesson and they really want to make a good game for PC gamers this time. At least that's what I hope, and after all these delays, I expect the game to be damn perfect. But to be honest, I don't even really expect to get the game anymore. I lost 60€, that's bad, but I can't change it. Just try to forget about GTA V and be really happy when someday in 2047 it's finally released and you won't have to pay for it then.

i believe they really are trying to polish the ♥♥♥♥ out of it, mainly to look good for their shareholders. most (PC) games launch with a ♥♥♥♥ storm of negativity because the publishers pushed the game out before it was ready.

R* has enough cash already, they don't need to push the game out before they are absolutely sure it is ready.

It's fine, I understand what you're saying.
The console peasants are just beta testing the online heists for PC anyway, so that's good!

But the thing that just makes me laugh is how people are blowing it out of proportion, I mean demanding refunds for a two week delay extension? Good lord, it's not the end of the world.
