ive linked this alot, but it really is the best alternative to a console ive seen

admittedly in the uk, it might be a bit harder to achieve some of those prices, but should still easily be doable for the price of a ps4, and there is a month to go to find the parts.
cross platform wont exist for gtav pc
Also yeah she owns a PS3 to and has GTA V for PS3 so I could pick up another copy and play like that hahaa I got it well planned out that way we can play splitscreen games when shes here and online multiplayer when she's at home...
And there is no reason the platforms could not communicate with each other.
They just need to hook up the different server networks with each other, and that's it.
No fancy code rewriting necessary.
Just like they did with the servers for each platform (There isn't just one server per platform, rather a whole server network per platform).
The game servers are not owned by Microsoft or Sony, but R* is the owner of the servers.
XBL and PSN are just login and firewall servers, nothing more, so there is no need to hook those up.
When you play GTA V Online, everything else goes trough the R* servers and rockstar social network as additional login server.
The only restriction is that in some lobby's there can't be more than 16 players online, because xbox 360 and ps3 consoles don't support it.
So yes, it is possible and not that difficult to implement, but Sony and Microsoft don't want that to happen, due to the console war that's going on.
Therefore the gamers are screwed basically.
