It is like that everywhere. There are 2 reasons:

1) The copies bought outside Steam can't be activated through Steam. So, you pay more on Steam for the exclusive features

2) Steam (Valve) takes about 30% from the profit of a game sold on Steam Store. So, the companies tend to make the price higher at this platform.

The choice is up to you.

What are the exclusive features offered in the steam version that is not available anywhere else?

Now I was just about to ask, there will be exclusive features?
For me the game was $20 AUD cheaper to buy it from steam than in the store.
Same here in Hungary. Retail price for AAA games is usually ~30€ (although GTAV is "exceptionally expensive", 40€),

on steam we get every AAA title for 50-60€.

Right, maybe not all of the features I listed are exclusive, but most of them are good enough on Steam or better than other platforms. That's why I chose Steam even being 5 dollares more expansive than the Rockstar Warehouse version in my country.

Thats the problem steam lovers have they think that the features Steam does give over other 2nd layer DRM launchers like Uplay,Origin etc are better when they are not they are the exact same.

In all honesty the Acheive's are done also on other 3rd party launchers like Uplay/Origin etc so thats another non steam exclusive. If you do choose to buy digital versions of games you are nearly always paying far more than a DVD hardcopy anyway just because it allows you to run steam to earn trading cards and if allowed to use the workshop and sell 3 other copies to 3rd party key selling sites.

Also forgot even game time is not a steam only thing either there's Xfire for that is you really need to see how much time you have invested in a game that if steam breaks you can not play since you bought the steam only version.

So out of that list there is 3 steam exclusive things and they are trading cards, Workshop and Steam gifting. The rest you can do with other software/launchers like uplay, origin and xfire to name just 3.

I couldn't justify the difference between $45.00 on Green Man Gaming (with code) and $60.00 on steam features. From my understanding, any version of the game will simply launch the Rockstar Social Club anyways.

1. The steam page indicates there will be steam achievements, but it wouldn't seem fair if the Rockstar Social Club didn't have these also.

2. Since it is not a steam exclusive and Max Payne 3 does not feature trading cards it is expected GTA5 will not feature trading cards either.

3. It is highly unlikely there will be any kind of workshop integration. Mods will be 3rd party.

Just not worth the $15 difference for me, but to each their own.

For casual gamers, maybe the fact that they need to keep just one account (Steam) instead of multiples accounts/logins (Rockstar Warehouse, Amazon, Gamersgate...) worthes the price difference.

Every shop in your town isn't owned by Gabe Newell.
So, what about this: www (.) allkeyshop (.) com/blog/buy-gta-5-cd-key-compare-prices/

You can buy steamkeys from here. Some are required to active in steam using a VPN or proxy because you have to be in a specific country.

Cheapest is €35. :D

No, not for me. In my country, it costs the same retail and non-retail. It depends on your region, Steam doesn't have that many regions where people could say they want the game to cost less, in the stores they can. They can say that the amount people get paid on average in your country is not enough to justify 60€.
In Chinese it sell 29.99€.Could you find another one more cheaper than this?
